Photo of Hisham

Hisham joins the Graybiel lab with a PhD in Neuroscience & Psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology at the American University of Beirut.

Hisham's research focuses in the basal ganglia and hippocampus on their contribution to skill learning. Using a number of pharmacological manipulations, Hisham hopes to assess the role of those areas in the acquisition, performance, and generalization of skills. He is also interested in the actions of neuromodulators in these areas, specifically, their contribution to the learning process.
